The Luncheon

We met on the high mesa. In the center of the burn we met where the fire had raged. Blackened trunks like poles loomed in a tapestry of grief across most of the mesa. There in the center of the burn we met. As two groups we met; as one group we beheld. They brought forth their lunch. We took out our lunch. We boasted of the lore of each other’s fare. We agreed the burn was bleak. We parted having shared a fulfilling experience in the center of the burn.

The Grace of Nobility

No one is going to notice any of your good nature but you, and if that’s enough, that’s true Nobility.  Nobility is – no one’s watching you but you and “I just couldn’t live with myself without acting out the nobility that’s within me”….Nobility is Grace with no other payoff.
